Stumbling Mice Recording Debut!
The Stumbling Mice are a kick-ass 5 piece blues/rock/country outfit that has been playing the Detroit area for over 3 years. They recorded about 15 tunes over one weekend in March at Nothing Fancy Studio and are putting the finishing touches on an as yet untitled debut disc.
Look here for a late June release (and July on iTunes) for what looks to be a great party disc. The band just set up and played the live show that they normally play at biker bars like the Erin Pub in Fraser, Michigan.
Rockers like ROUTE 66 and Delbert McClinton’s WHY ME flow into blues numbers like WILD ABOUT YOU, DUST MY BROOM and Albert Collins’ I AIN’T DRUNK, I’M JUST DRINKIN’. There’s a couple of Stones covers, a couple of “old school” country tunes and a Grateful Dead cover to boot.
