“Malfunction Junction” has an extremely wide range of sounds and influences within it’s 12 songs. It has the twin-guitar attack of the Rolling Stones or the Replacements on rockers like “Attitude” or “Nothing At All”. It has some rootsy ballads like “The Difference”. It has Allman Bros. inspired guitar harmonies on songs like “S.O.S.” It has a lot of slide guitar. And it has a lot of “smart-aleck” story driven lyrics that drip like a faucet out of the pen of Brian Blush.
