Bio | Acoustic Madness
Acoustic Madness is an acoustic trio with Bob Monteleone on acoustic guitar & vocals, Mitch Purdy on cajon & mandolin, and Ken Pesick on upright bass. Bob & Mitch have been playing as Acoustic Madness for about 4 years and Ken joined the duo in March of 2010. They play a lot of bars/restaurants in southeastern Michigan and have a loyal following. “Volume l” is a sampling of what you might see them perform on any given night. Mitch specializes on a South American percussion instrument called the cajon or simply “the box”. It’s simply a wooden box with a sound hole on one side that the player sits on and creates sounds not unlike a snare and bass drum.
“Volume l” was recorded during the winter of 2010/2011 at Bob’s Nothing Fancy Studio. It was taped live with no overdubs to give the listener an accurate representation of what the guys sound like live. It’s called “Volume l” because the band would like to release a new disc of different songs every 6 months or so. So check out “Volume l” because “Volume 2” is in the works!
